Equipment selection for a 100 Pound DXpedition must be done
carefully. The weight and size of transceivers, power
supplies, coax, and tools must somehow fall into this most
miniscule of budgets. Trade-offs, size and weight for
performance, are key to the planning process.
The ICOM IC-7000, matching LDG 7000 tuner, and Alinco
DM-330MVT power supply provide the hub of the portable
station. Computer (for logging), Heil headset, foot-switch,
and rig control components round out the station.
